‘Once Upon a Book’

With antiquarian books being so important in much of my current artwork ( I use the pages, endpapers, covers or indeed the whole book as surfaces on which to paint and draw), I was delighted to be asked to participate in this exhibition. I have been working on a selection of moth, bee, bug and beetle pictures which will be hung alongside the creations of a group of artists and makers who also use books in their artwork, make books or are in some way or another inspired by them. My fellow exhibitors include, amongst others, Frances Bloomfield, Emma Taylor, Thurle Wright and Ann Winder-Boyle.

‘Once Upon a Book’.  Byard Art, 14, King’s Parade, Cambridge, CB2 1SJ.
